CALLIGRAPHY
About 2 years ago, I picked up calligraphy randomly, out of pure curiosity. I was instantly hooked and continued practicing. I have been lucky enough to build up loyal clientele through references and networking. Some of my past client orders have included escort cards, place cards, custom prints, chalkboard signs, gift tags, and digital work. I have also had the pleasure of being featured on various photography and wedding blogs such as Ruffled, and also in print magazines such as The Knot. In an effort to expand on my skills, I attended the Modern Calligraphy Summit this past February.
AMORE EVENTS
I started working for Amore Events in Charlottesville, VA in July 2014. I worked closely alongside the main planner and learned so much from her. I was encouraged to explore my creative musings and develop my styling skills during each wedding production. This allowed me to really find my aesthetic and finetune my approaches. I also gained an immense amount of logistical training such as conducting ceremony rehearsals, rehearsal dinners, communicating with vendors, managing day-of operations, and connecting with both the clients and their guests.
HOTEL PALOMAR
* Formerly part of the Kimpton Hotel Group. Currently running as Hotel Zelos.
While I was living in San Francisco, I worked at Hotel Palomar as a Guest Service Agent. Some of my daily responsibilities included checking guests in/out, fulfilling guest requests, and coordinating amenities. My time at Hotel Palomar is when I learned what it takes to be a true hospitality professional. I always felt empowered to make decisions when it came to satisfying guests and making a lasting impression.
